Today marks 3 years since I moved to Spokane. April 14 used to mark a very different kind of anniversary for my ex-husband and me -- our first date was April 14, 1994. Today is also the New Moon in Aries, and my cycle began, so I'm crampy and hormonal. Happily I picked up the Dobies this morning—Bryon and I share custody—and spent time cavorting in and along the Columbia River. Maybe some or most of this explains why I feel crummy, accentuated by the fact that I compulsively wolfed down 8 cookies today.
As Liz Lemon says, "Blerg." Wish I hadn't eaten them. Sugar is kicking (and expanding!) my ass.
Because today is the New Moon, I should have written and sent out a newsletter offering 15% OFF at zenamoon.com using coupon code NEWMOON, but the newsletter can wait 'til tomorrow. The offer is valid now, though. Good through 4/17/10.
P.S. Just remembered I saw a beaver swimming in the Columbia River this morning and thought to look up its meaning. What I read knocked my socks off! In particular...
Beaver's medicine brings you the wisdom of creativity, maintaining the ability to be productive in all ways by not limiting your options, being persistent, using available resources, finding and using alternate ways of doing tasks, master builder of all things, not damming the flow of experiences in life, achievement through completion of tasks, understanding the dynamics of group work, protecting, cooperation, fertility and new promise.
None of which I'm presently doing.
Beavers are good at teamwork, and work together cooperatively to construct their homes.
For a good solid year I've had a strong desire to be part of a team again.
The Beaver reminds us that we have to act on our dreams to bring them alive—it is time for action. If beaver has entered your life, it may be wise to ask yourself whether you have been neglecting your dreams? Are you lost in your dreams and not acting upon them?
Yes and yes. Action is my touchstone word for 2011. Also what this New Moon in Aries is about!
Beavers are also fabulous swimmers
YAY! I am too and am joining the Y this week to start swimming, one of the things I love most.
Beaver people often find they must work hard to fulfill their goals. Don’t forget to be kind and loving to yourself.
OK. :)
