Today is my brother's birthday! I think this is the first photo taken of me and Bob, who, when this photo was taken and on up through grade school, was called Bobby. And he still is, by a select few, including moi. He was named after my Dad's older brother who died from cancer as a teenager.
My very first memory in life was 42 years ago today, the day my brother was born. I was over the moon with excitement! I wasn't allowed to visit my Mom in the hospital -- heck, my Dad wasn't even allowed in the delivery room. So I stood outside the hospital holding my Dad's hand waving up to my Mom's hospital room window. I remember that vividly. She sent down a bag of M&M's for me and I thought that was fantastic and magical!
But not as fantastic and magical as getting a baby brother. Happy Birthday, Bobby!
Happy birthday from the land of Oz Bobby, today (July 9 here) is mine.

C'mon, everyone, just say it --- I look like a Doozer from Fraggle Rock! Hmm... I wonder if I can get royalty payments from Henson Productions?!?
Thanks for the lovely thoughts, Carla, and for being such a good big sister.
Has it already been 42 years? I'm just starting to get the hang of this "living" thing....
