The Cure for a Scattered Mind
"Insanity is often the logic of an accurate mind over-tasked." ~Oliver Wendell Holmes
Lately I am scattered, unfocused, flittering, unable (unwilling?) to complete any of my to-do's, including writing down my to-do's. Once I begin something, a question or contingency pops up preventing me from going through with it.
- Order new laptop. Check with brother that I'm getting what I need.
- Renew MSA membership. Continue pondering whether it's worth the $$$.
- Plan next month's roadtrip to Taos. Need printed AAA TripTiks (ORDERED).
- Rearrange bedroom. Need husband's muscles, must wait for him to agree.
- Plan meals. No contingency, only lethargy.
- Find new housecleaner. Ditto.
- Write, write, write. So many swirling ideas I wind up choosing none.
The problem is, I am waaaaaay too much in my head and need to move into action. Action begets action and builds momentum. Writing the above list was a good start. Tackling the easiest item is my next step. Off to call a housecleaning agency!
