Special 20% Off for Fans of The Tudors
Just discovered that Showtime's The Tudors BLOG BUZZ is linking to my blog, and to celebrate zena moon is offering a special 20% discount to Tudors fans! Simply enter coupon code TUDORS in your shopping cart prior to checkout. (Offer not valid with any other coupon or special promotion.)
Candles were a necessity during King Henry's reign, and I can't help but reflect had I been a candlemaker at court, he would have benefited from sex-o-rama, crabbiness-b-gone, forgiveness and this too shass pass. Lord knows he'd have burned through in memory of... candles like mad! Anne Boleyn might have liked protection, fertility and, at the end, kiss my ass. Queen Catherine of Aragon's candles might have been care of the soul, faith, prayer for strength and love. I don't know Jane Seymour and Henry's other wives well enough yet, but I'd love to hear what you think!
Happy shopping fellow Tudors lovers!

hi miss carla ~ i am a total tudor girl too! i didn't get on board until mid way through season one (so i have some back tracking to do) but have been hooked ever since. the show inspired me to go "candle only" at night, but i am going to have to wait until winter as is is still light at night now in alaska ~ fun times ahead! how cool they are linking to you. hope you are well ~ ox kelley

I'm trying so hard to NOT go and refresh my memory of history surrounding Henry and his ladies so I'm not ruining the suspense of show for myself.
I'm so bummed, yet excited with one more show to go this season!! I hope they keep it going all the way through Elizabeth!

I haven't started watching the Tudors (yet, it's on NetFlix) but I have always had fascination for the Tudors.
So, in answer to your question...
Jane Seymore could have used: Angel Blessings, Safe Pregnancy, and either Prayer for a Miracle or Prayer for Healing (she died days after giving birth to Edward).
Anne of Cleves is possibly the toughest. She wasn't known for her good looks, and she probably lucked out by having that marriage annulled. So...Celebrate being Single, Prayer for Strength and Bring me a Sugar Daddy.
Katherine Howard was an idiot who was beheaded for having an affair. She could have done with a little more Boundaries, Clarity and Dark Night of the Sould and a little less Just Do it or Living in the Moment.
Catherine Parr was the last one and the second one to survive Henry. She married her "childhood sweetheart" afterwards. She probably would have burned Acceptance, Serenity Prayer, Coming out of Hiding and Follow your Bliss.
Now I need to go update my Netflix. :)

Hi Zena!
I'm trying to rustle up great posts to feature in my Monday column on Religion and Spirituality at BlogHer.com.
I've been following your blog for awhile now, and was wondering if you'd like to be on my mailing list of Spirituality Writers. It's a select group of bloggers, and I would just send out periodic requests for gridblog participation on a given topic. Then I would feature some of the most relevant posts on BlogHer, and maybe at my personal blog as well.
If that sounds interesting to you, shoot me an email and ask me to include you on the Spirituality Writers mailing list. I'd love to have you along for the journey.
Namaste,
Rachelle Mee-Chapman

P.s. I would have just emailed you but your email link is broken on your blog...fyi.
