One of my all-time favorite movies The Big Lebowski is on! I've seen it at least 50 times and love it each and every time. The Dude abides! Probably my favorite scene in a movie loaded with favorite scenes is when the Dude visits Jackie Treehorn's house (it's playing as I type). I flipped out when my friend Wendy told me she was one of the dancers in the bowling dance sequence!
This weekend I've also enjoyed...
A surprise visit from my spiritual director Sister Cathy! Woo hoo! We sat over coffee and talked and shared our secret dreams (mine for the first time out loud) and she offered some suggestions that have me sooooooo excited and open and inspired and, well, with direction . . . it isn't time to make an announcement yet, but you know I will as soon as my plans are a bit more fleshed out.
Watching the Gonzaga women thump EWU's basketball buns! Our seats are front row right behind the Gonzaga bench and it rocks.
Watching the Gonzaga men play Tennessee. Didn't enjoy that we lost, but I had fun watching the game on TV with my Mama. I told her my plans too, and not only is she excited about them she also had a super helpful suggestion. Yay Mama!
Allowing more of my days to unfold vs. cramming them full of plans. Rich exquisite sweetness in this.
Beginning to plan new candles for spring!
My workerbee Colleen and her friend Sami, who's been helping out while Kaitlyn's on Christmas break.
Preparing for a small New Year's Eve party I'm hosting tomorrow night. I've invited half a dozen sober girlfriends + my Mama over to watch movies and nosh. Traditionally I stay home on NYE in part because I rarely make it 'til midnight (!) but mostly because NYE is a sacred night for me and every year I mindfully choose how to spend it. Ditto New Year's Day.
My emotional freedom and serenity. All weekend long I've been grinnin' and groovin' on being happy, joyous and free.
