I am a colorful, feminine, living expression of Spirit.
Born in Montana. Raised in Spokane, WA. Never fit in until I joined the swim team in 9th grade because I wanted shiny hair like my brother's. Followed high school boyfriend to Colorado Springs and spent the 80s chasing Air Force Academy cadets, dancing, partying, working at Digital Equipment Corp. (now H-P), traveling to Europe and galaxy-tramping. The 80s ended and I needed a change so I relocated to Redmond, WA in 1990. Met the love of my life, my silly dog Elliott! Spent 1993 living in Prague and Amsterdam with Elliott. Didn't work that year--just enjoyed the Bohemian way of life. Nazdravi! Returned to Redmond in 1994 ready to drop roots. Within a few months I started working at Microsoft and met my much younger husband-to-be at the dog park. We secretly married in 1995, publicly married in 1997. Consequently I never remember how many years we've been married. Great professional gigs abounded--I produced live music events and websites for MSN and helped produce U2's PopMart website. Yep, I met the band and once snuck onstage mid-concert. After a few years I left Microsoft to work at Corbis (then owned by Bill Gates) as Creative Services Manager. Burned out BIGTIME, so I left and returned to Microsoft. Had some fun gigs (launched what is now the Dating & Personals channel on MSN.com) working with awesome people as well as mindblowing assholes. Burned out again in 1999. Utter despair and hopelessness. Considered suicide, went to doctor, left with anti-depressants and a medical leave of absence. Put my original Microsoft signing bonus, web skills and passion to work FOR ME and started zena moon. Huzzah! Oprah happened. And here I am!
Sobriety, family, my pooches, friends, candles, writing, retreats, swimming, kayaking, Prague, Gonzaga Men's Basketball (GO ZAGS!), indie movies, gardening, my goddaughter Marissa, "Deadwood," "The Sopranos," "The Daily Show," "King of Queens" and "The Colbert Report," massages, pedicures and frequent pampering in general.
